Details are still a little vague, but it sounds like Marvel will be releasing a 3 part mini-series (as well as a separate one shot comic) that will be coming out this October as a primer for the movie of the same name, which comes out in December. There is also a novel planned for release around the same time, known as “Star Wars Catalyst: A Rogue One Story”, to be released by Del Ray.
The movie is still shrouded in mystery, and we have yet to see a trailer, but its exciting to hear that we will be getting something tangible before its December release.
The movie is being directed by Gareth Edwards, and will be staring Donnie Yen, Alan Tudyk and Felicity Jones. It is expected to take place sometime just before A New Hope.
